Panasonic Launches AI Wellness Coach Powered by Anthropic’s Claude at CES 2025

Panasonic Unveils Umi, an AI-Powered Wellness Coach at CES 2025
At CES 2025, Panasonic introduced Umi, an AI-powered wellness coach designed to support families in achieving personal and collective goals. Developed in collaboration with Anthropic, Umi leverages the Claude AI model to help families “care, coordinate, and connect.”
Umi, accessible via a mobile app, offers features like group chat with AI, goal setting, routine creation, and task management. It also provides tools for caregivers to monitor the well-being of aging family members remotely, with Panasonic working alongside AARP to enhance this functionality.
Launching in the U.S. in 2025, Umi integrates insights from a network of wellness experts to help users build healthy habits. Panasonic is collaborating with wellness partners such as Aaptiv, Precision Nutrition, SleepScore Labs, Addition Wealth, Blue Apron, and Calm, as part of its Well Partner Collective.
The Anthropic partnership extends beyond Umi, with Panasonic integrating Claude AI into its operations to improve customer service, sales, marketing, and coding efficiency. Umi represents a key step in Panasonic’s vision of AI-driven solutions for enhancing family wellness and workplace productivity.
