Nvidia Unveils Project Digits: A Compact ‘Personal AI Supercomputer’
At CES 2025, Nvidia introduced Project Digits, a “personal AI supercomputer” powered by the Grace Blackwell hardware platform, designed to bring advanced AI capabilities to researchers, data scientists, and students.
“[Project Digits] runs the entire Nvidia AI stack — all of Nvidia software runs on this,” said Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang during Monday’s press conference. “It’s a cloud computing platform that sits on your desk … It’s even a workstation, if you like it to be.”
Equipped with Nvidia’s new GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, Project Digits delivers up to a petaflop of performance, enabling prototyping, fine-tuning, and running AI models of up to 200 billion parameters. Larger parameter sizes often translate to greater model problem-solving capabilities.
The GB10 chip, co-developed with MediaTek, integrates an Nvidia Blackwell GPU with a 20-core Grace CPU. Inside the Project Digits unit, the chips are paired with 128GB of memory and up to 4TB of flash storage, ensuring high-speed performance and scalability.
Nvidia’s Project Digits promises to democratize access to cutting-edge AI tools, offering a powerful yet compact solution for AI development right from the desktop.

Nvidia’s Project Digits: Compact AI Power with a Hefty Price Tag
Nvidia’s Project Digits personal AI supercomputer offers the ability to link two machines for running AI models with up to 405 billion parameters. Users can choose a standalone setup or connect Project Digits to a primary Windows or Mac PC.
Set to launch in May, Project Digits runs on Nvidia’s Linux-based DGX OS and will be available through select partners starting at $3,000. While the price may limit accessibility, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is confident in its appeal.
“With Project Digits, the Grace Blackwell Superchip comes to millions of developers,” Huang said. “Placing an AI supercomputer on the desks of every data scientist, AI researcher, and student empowers them to engage and shape the age of AI.”
Designed for advanced AI development, Project Digits provides a powerful yet compact solution for those ready to invest in next-generation AI tools.
